Robert Threlkeld

(July 18, 1944 – August 18, 2007)

Robert D. Threlkeld 63 of Carmel, Indiana, passed away August 18, w007. GHe was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 18, 1944 to D. Saunders and Lorena Jones Threlkeld. Robert served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and worked for Conrail over 30 years, He retired in 1999. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, MOAA and Democratic Club in Hamilton County. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Threlkeld; sons, Robert T. (Amy), Eric (Renee), Daniel (Bethany); mother, Lorena Jones Threlkeld; brother, Alan Threlkeld; two grandchildren, Nolan and Katelyn (with two more expected); nieces, Amy and Lauren. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church and/or St. Vincent Hospice.

 MEMORIAL SCHOLARHIP FOR  COMMUNITY SERVICE 

In 2010 the Mariemont School Foundation announced that Bob’s brother Alan Threlkeld had  established a $5000 annual scholarhip in Bob’s name. Applicants are  required to complete 80 hours of community service, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and demonstrate financial need. Later that year the foundation reported that, "The family started out ready to award one scholarship, but they were so impressed with the applicants that they awarded 5 scholarships this year.”

Rev Gary Pitser (Pitser)

Robert was a kind and gentel person.

He took me to my first Football game.

We were supporters of John Kennedy and meet

him several times,during his campaign, in Cincinnati.

I was sorry to here he passed away.
